Set up (do this once)
- Confirm your exam board (AQA, Edexcel or OCR) and tier
- Download your board's specification and past papers (free)
- Sit one full past paper cold, marked with the official scheme
- Rank lost marks into topics: that ranking is your revision plan
Every week
- Two 30-40 minute sessions on your two weakest topics
- One timed half-paper mid-week
- One full past paper, marked and reviewed
- Error log updated: topic, mistake type, redo date
Topic checklist (six areas)
- Number: fractions, percentages, indices, surds
- Algebra: equations, graphs, sequences, quadratics
- Ratio and proportion: multi-step percentage and sharing problems
- Geometry: angles, circles, Pythagoras, trigonometry
- Probability: tree diagrams, Venn diagrams, combined events
- Statistics: averages, charts, sampling, scatter graphs
Exam technique
- Write every line of working: method marks are real marks
- Check which papers allow a calculator, and which formulae are given
- Never leave a question blank; attempt earns method marks
- Final fortnight: two full papers a week, light topic review
