What is the IGCSE?

The IGCSE is the international version of the GCSE, offered by Cambridge (CAIE) and Pearson Edexcel and taken by students in British and international schools worldwide, including across the UAE and Gulf.
How it compares to the GCSE
The subject content overlaps heavily with the GCSE, and both are examined at the end of the course. Differences: many IGCSE syllabi keep more exam-only assessment (less coursework), exam sittings run in multiple series through the year (June, November, and January for some Edexcel routes), and grading on Cambridge IGCSE runs A* to G, with 9-1 grading available on some Edexcel International GCSEs.
Who takes it
Students in British-curriculum international schools across the UAE, Gulf, Asia and Africa, UK independent schools that prefer its exam-only structure, and private candidates worldwide. For university admissions, IGCSEs are accepted on the same footing as GCSEs.
What tutoring changes
